NORA/Terms
Launch policy draft · last updated October 2026

Clear terms make useful exchanges possible.

These terms define the intended marketplace rules before paid transactions launch. They are a product and policy draft, not jurisdiction-specific legal advice.

01

Plain-English summary

Buyers acquire stated implementation rights, not the creator's underlying intellectual property. Do not publicly redistribute, resell, sublicense, or dump raw assets into public repositories. Each product record controls its own delivery and licence scope.

02

Definitions

Creator: the person or organisation offering an asset. Buyer: a person or organisation acquiring stated rights. Asset: code, application, runtime, integration, documentation, or other reusable software. Licence: the stated permission to use an asset. Platform: NORA and its marketplace surfaces.

03

Licensing and use

A Single-Project licence permits use in one named production product. An Agency licence, where offered, permits use across the purchaser's internal and client projects. Neither tier permits raw-code distribution, resale, sublicensing, competing-marketplace listing, or uncompiled template-kit distribution.

04

Software provided as is

Assets are provided as is, except for any explicit support commitment in their record. To the maximum extent permitted by law, creators and NORA are not liable for downtime, data loss, lost profit, integration conflicts, or failures in a buyer's custom environment.

05

Vetting and dependencies

NORA intends to introduce isolated build and test verification. Until a record explicitly shows a NORA verification result, any test evidence is creator-provided. A declared runtime and lockfile describe the tested dependency tree; buyers remain responsible for testing their own production environment.

06

Creator revenue and payouts

At launch, NORA plans an 8% platform fee per completed transaction, plus applicable payment-processing fees. Creator balances become eligible for monthly automated payout once they reach $50, subject to a seven-day hold for fraud, chargeback, or refund review.

07

Digital goods refunds

A source-code buyer may report a verifiable defect within 72 hours with reproducible logs: missing core files, broken imports, or an unresolvable conflict within the stated environment. The creator receives a reasonable opportunity to fix it. Change of mind, unsupported environments, undocumented buyer modifications, and buyer-side setup errors are not refundable.

08

Accounts and conduct

Keep account access secure. Do not misrepresent ownership, submit malicious assets, bypass licences, abuse creators or buyers, or interfere with the platform. NORA may temporarily remove a record from the catalogue or suspend an account where there is a credible security, ownership, legal, or marketplace-risk concern. Material decisions are recorded and can be queried through support.

09

Questions and changes

These are launch-policy terms and will be reviewed with qualified legal counsel before paid transactions begin. A specific product record or written agreement may add terms; it cannot silently remove the marketplace baseline.
